What changes from one country to another

Each country frames the replies in its own way, and some rules even change from one region to another. This guide does not give any values: it says what the differences relate to, to know what questions to ask.

• Age

  Minimum age to buy, to hold and to play, sometimes different depending on the power of the replica.

• Power

  Some countries set a legal limit, in joules, beyond which the replica changes category or becomes prohibited.

• Appearance

  Coloured tip, markings or hues imposed in certain countries, to distinguish a replica from a real weapon.

• Procurement and detention

  Free sale, proof of club membership or declaration: conditions range from simple to framed.

• Transport

• Place of play
