Symptoms

  • Audible replica to rest
  • Bottle loses pressure without pulling
  • The regulator needle slowly descends

Causes

Most common to rare.

  1. Poorly tightened line (definition) connection or poorly plunged pipeCommon

  1. Quietly, ear near each connection: the whistle is often by hand.

    Without tools

  2. With a brush on the fittings, under pressure: bubbles show the leak.

  3. Close the bottle, pull empty to purge the line, then unscrew. Never a pressure-disassembled connection.

  4. In most cases, a clean, re-cut pipe to the stop, a new o-ring slightly oiled with silicone, is sufficient.

Stop

Stop and hand over the reply to a technician if:

  • The leak comes from the regulator or the bottle: they are parts under high pressure, entrust them
  • The date of requalification of the cylinder (definition) is exceeded
